"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:2
Something profound happened to me a
year ago. I remember it happening so
quickly I reflect in amazement.
Nevertheless, I am grateful that it did happen. I know, I know, you are wondering what in the
world am I talking about. “It” happened.
You know, that moment when you realize the dream kicking in you has fully
developed and can no longer stay in the womb of your mind. Yes, that moment when you realize if not now,
never? If not today, when? It happened
to me while I was in my bedroom reading a magazine about a blogger that recently
got published in the “O” magazine. She
spoke about her passion and how what she enjoyed has manifested into a beautiful
creation reproducing itself in our world.
She was now living her dream. I
am sure it was not easy and I am sure she experienced many trials, obstacle and
issues. I am also sure that she kept on
going. Like her, I too had that moment
and now a year later I am about to birth the baby that has been kicking in me
for a while now. Be Bold, Be Fierce, Be
Transformed has been a growing fetus.
The passion of my purpose has allowed this baby to conceive and I knew it
was time. My “it” moment came. In March of 2012, I will deliver.
Most of us have had many “it”
moments, but as we set out in the passion and motivation we often get met with
obstacles that are both external and internal.
One of the barriers that I speak about often in the book is the criticism
of family. I think those closest to you
can get under your skin the most. When
they are so close to your heart and you care about their words because you are a
representative of them, it’s hard to hear them say things that may not favor
your current position. Your dream stands
vulnerable as your heart stands open.
Most people break under pressure and allow family criticism to cease them
in the moment. Being bold means breaking
out with both passion and motivation. The key to add to your tool box is being
both bold and fierce. Being fierce means being unstoppable, refusing to allow
barriers, insecurities or external factors keep you from birthing your dream. It
called the “still-born” of your purpose. If you keep it in too long, it will die
within you. It’s like having the drive
to do something, then after a while, you just don’t want to do it anymore. Don’t miss your opportunity. The world needs
what’s on the inside of you to come out but you will be met with opposition from
yourself and from the world around you.
The transformula is bold +
fierce = transformed. Whatever it is
that will try to stop you, remember, you must be fierce and be relentless! In
the end, you will have gone through a major process and not recognize who you
are as you will have been transformed. I like to think transformation as a
continual process of going from one level to the next. Accomplish one dream and
then another. For more information on

out in March 2012.
