One thing that I am recognizing is the fact that process is messy. This blog is about the process of purpose. There are times when things go right and there are times when things go extremely wrong. We tend to maneuver through the good times a bit better than the bad times. They are both designed to birth the purpose within us. I am learning how to harness the energy, emotions and mindset of the bad times and maximize the moments despite my situation. The birthing room in a hospital is a messy place and I will never forget in high school I had the opportunity to job shadow a neonatal nurse. While on my job shadowing experience the nurse received a page that a baby needed help being birthed. They allow me and the other two girls into the room to watch the birthing of this baby. This was an amazing experience to me as I had never seen anything like it before. However, while birthing the baby something went wrong and 4 doctors ran into the room asking everyone to leave. Fortunately, the doctors were able to stabilize the situation as the baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around its neck. There are few things that I learned from this situation. One, there are times during the birthing of our process that requires extra help. We need to seek counsel as we cannot do this on our own. Two, Paula White who I love and adore, said “not everyone should be allowed to see the birthing process”. It can get messy and not every can handle what they see while you are birthing. Three, just as you are delivering your baby, something may distract you and try to kill your purpose at the last minute, but God has extra help on the way standing by to assist and deliver out of the hands of the enemy. Finally and most important, the pain you experience will be all worth it and the mess you made can be cleaned up and turned into a mess-age!
It all in the process of purpose….push on.
